My bio

David Bar-Tzur

David Bar-Tzur has interpreted for twelve years at RIT/NTID and served as Adjunct Faculty there for three years. He has his MS, Teaching Interpreting from McDaniel's College (formerly Western Maryland College) under Betty Colonomos and MJ Bienvenu. He holds two bachelors degrees, one in physics and one in philosophy. He has been an interpreter, mentor and interpreter educator, serving as visiting professor at the National Technical Institute for the Deaf in Rochester, New York from 1999 - 2000. He holds both Certificate of Interpretation and Certificate of Transliteration from the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf.

Add to religious workshop: David has worked extensively with Catholic, evangelic, and Jewish settings as well as some interpretation of Islamic services and several classes in Islam, Buddhism, and Hinduism.

Add to Deaf-Blind workshop: David has interpreted at eight week-long Deaf-Blind events (conferences and camps) as well as two years of weekly Deaf-Blind interpreting in Seattle, Washington.
